Neck Details: Three piece laminated mahogany neck with bound rosewood fretboard and block inlays. There is a stamp on the back of the headstock indicating the guitar was a factory second.
Electronics: Original Gibson "Tarback" bridge pickup and wiring harness; the original neck pickup is included in the case but was found to have one bad coil, and a Lollar Imperial Low Wind pickup has been installed in its place. Three-way toggle selector switch, coil-split switch, and volume/tone controls for each pickup.

Hardware: The guitar originally had a trapeze tailpiece, and at some point was converted to a stop tailpiece; the original has not been included. The tuners have also been replaced with Grover tuners, with the original tuner footprints and extra screw holes visible on the back of the headstock; the original tuners have not been included either.

Case Details: The original hardshell case is in good condition, though the handle has been replaced; the original neck pickup is included in the case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar shows play wear consistent with age; the finish is glossy with swirls and light scratches throughout. There is a small amount of finish chipping around the treble stopbar post from the conversion, as well as open screw holes around the endpin from the original trapeze tailpiece. The front of the body has minor blemishes, including a small scratch just below the coil split switch; the back of the body displays some buckle rash and finish checking. There is also some light checking on the sides of the body and minor finish chipping along the binding. The back of the neck is smooth with minor blemishes.

Tech Notes: Plays well with low action and optimal neck relief; the guitar is currently strung with 10s. The frets are wide and low with some play wear, but the guitar plays and sets up well. The back of the headstock is stamped "Second," designating the guitar a factory second. The visible pot codes date to late 1977, and the serial number dates the guitar to 1978.

3-Day / 15-day Return Policy If you are not completely satisfied with any product, return it for a full refund of the product purchase price, full credit, or exchange of your choice. We give you 3 days from the shipping date on Vintage instruments, and 15 days on New instruments. Credit card returns are issued a credit for purchase price. Refunds are made for product value only, excluding shipping and handling charges. New, Unopened items: You may return most NEW, untouched, unopened items within 15 days of delivery for a full refund. if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.) we'll also pay the return shipping costs.
