This has to be one of the coolest all original 355’s from Gibson’s most famous “last hurrah” period because by 1969 they changed in so many ways, this has our favorite period optional Ice Tea Sunburst finish & has a magnificent & ultra clean appearance, its choice of maple used is not completely figured, but has some wonderful grain patterns, its 2 pat.# stickered Humbuckers are beautiful in their tone & she has the far more desirable “Mono” electronics as compared to the Stereo/Varitone version, its white pearl block inlaid ebony fingerboard is multi layer bound & has a perfect 1-piece mahogany neck that is slim yet full sized having no volute or “made in the USA” stamp, its all original from its Kluson Deluxe “ribbed back” tuners to its optional Maestro Vibrato, all gold hardware is super clean, its tortoise’gard is perfectly intact along with its witch hat knobs, its got a nice Orange label, what makes this 355 so special is its truly beautiful & dead original in all respects, its one of the rarest 355’s we’ve ever come across period & its truly near mint, it comes delivered in a black tolex/yellow lined hard case.
