2006 Gibson Custom Shop ES-339 w/ Hand-tooled Leather Body Covering by Manny Cuevas
Looking for a one-of-a-kind guitar? This is a 2006 Gibson Custom Shop ES-339, serial number is CS61347. The guitar was given to Manuel “Manny” Cuevas in 2008 with a finished neck, but unfinished body. He got it that way so he could cover the guitar with his extraordinary and unparalleled hand-tooled leather creation, featuring Cannabis leaf-themed carvings on both the front and back, with a skull in the middle of the design on the back. The result is one of the most magnificent guitars we’ve ever had the pleasure of offering. It really must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Pictures just don’t do it justice. The workmanship is nothing short of stunning. People who glance at it will turn completely around to take a second look. Additionally, the guitar both plays and sounds amazing. Manny, of course, is the son of the legendary artisan, Manuel, former Nudie employee, and designer and maker of handmade iconic clothing for some of the world’s biggest stars and entertainers since the 1950s. Manny started working with his father when he was just six years old, rhinestoning suits, hand-lacing dresses, and tooling leather. After he helped relocate his father’s shop from Los Angeles to Nashville in 1991, Manny was inspired by the success of his family’s business and its heritage, and by 2009 had branched out on his own by continuing his family’s legacy as the owner and designer of Wear It Out By Manny. He has designed clothing, boots and other wearable apparel for the likes of The Band Perry, Ronnie Dunn, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Jr., Dwight Yoakam, Daniel Peck, Bridget Tatum, Keith Gattis, and Paul McDonald, among many others. As he states on his website, “[Manny] is infusing new energy into traditional patterns, embellishments, contrast stitching, vivid embroideries, and a keen use of rhinestones and palettes combined with exotic skins…” Manny Cuevas is a true national treasure, and a Nashville icon. This is the only guitar he has ever outfitted with custom hand-tooled leather. There isn’t another one like it anywhere in the world, and we are now exclusively offering it for sale. Price is $10,000 USD, and includes the original Gibson Custom Shop hardshell case, and all case candy. Please contact us directly for additional pictures or information.

To that end, and because of the inherent value of our products, we strive to properly describe all of our guitars and other merchandise as accurately as possible. It’s what we do, and it’s what we’re known for. We’re happy to answer ANY and ALL questions PRIOR to you making your purchase, so if you’ve got questions that need answers then PLEASE ASK THEM!! In a nutshell, we try to PREVENT returns before they happen. We don’t want to send our guitars across the country only to have them returned less than a week later. We don’t like it, and our guitars don’t like it. It’s that simple. So again, please ask as many questions as you wish PRIOR to making your purchase … because while every once in a blue moon there is a need to accept a return, it’s simply not something that happens with any frequency at Blues Vintage Guitars. Now, in some cases – guitar purchases ONLY, and ALL of which are agreed to PRIOR to purchase – we do allow a 24-hour approval period that begins as soon as the parcel is signed for. If after all available remedies have been exhausted there is still a need for a return, then the following guidelines apply: You must immediately call Blues Vintage Guitars, Inc. for a Return Authorization Number … NO RETURN WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER; Return arrangements must be made within 48 hours of receipt of the parcel; Any refunds will be less shipping costs both ways and any applicable credit card fees; You will be charged a restocking fee of 15% of the final purchase price minus any shipping charges; You may use your refund for store credit on another "In Stock" item; The returning item must have a Return Authorization Number given to you by a Blues Vintage Guitars representative; Any item being returned without an Return Authorization Number will be refused; The returning item must be shipped back in the same manner and condition in which it was received; If there is any damage or change in the condition to the item for any reason whatsoever, the return will be refused and no refund will be issued; All returns must be insured for the full amount of the purchase price; We will not accept a return if the item has been modified in any way; Returns are not accepted on layaway items, as all layaway sales are final and will be treated as such; Returns of any kind are not accepted on any custom orders; And each sale is handled on a case-by-case basis.
