2007 Gibson ES-339 Vintage Sunburst with Original Hardshell Case

Summary: The Gibson ES-339 electric guitar draws from a multitude of sources to comprise its build: a shape similar to that of the ES-335 with a smaller body size closer to a Les Paul. The ES-339 was designed to offer the fuller sound of a semi-hollow but with the comfort and playability of a solidbody guitar. Sometimes called the Gibson Memphis ES-339, this electric was built in Gibson's Memphis Custom Shop and actually sports Gibson's Memphis Tone Circuit, making the moniker particularly apt. This one is in great shape and has been recently setup and restrung by our in house luthier. The original hardshell case and COA are included.

Body: Small bodied semi-hollow with a nice Antique Vintage Sunburst finish and cream binding.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a D profile, slim but wide and flat on the back with pronounced shoulders. It has a bound rosewood fingerboard, bone nut, 22 frets, pearl dots, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 11/16” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: It has 2 ’57 Classic Humbuckers, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes, 2 tones and Gibson Deluxe tuners with green keystone pegs.

Cosmetics: This Gibson is in great used condition and exhibits no major wear, breaks or cracks but there are some finish blemishes in the back of the neck where it looks like the lacquer has been eaten away a bit. The blemishes are surface level, do not go into the wood and are hardly noticeable when playing this beauty. There are also some similar markings on the side near the butt of the guitar, on either end of the strap button. (see pictures)

Playability: Our in house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
