1959 Gibson ES-345 Sunburst, Excellent, Original Hard, $17,000.00

Some guitars are just loud. I plugged this in to a 66 Fender Pro Reverb on 3 and it blew the roof off the place. Sealed PAFs measure 8.68K and 8.45K which might have something to do with it. Mid to late 59 (first week of October) ES-345 factory stop tail. Never had a Bigsby. This one has the transitional neck meaning it isn't the baseball bat of 58 and early 59 but its not the "blade" neck of 60-61 either. Call it medium-.83" at the first fret and .91" at the 12th. Original stereo/Varitone circuit, original hardware and plastic. The tuners were changed to Schallers in the 70's but have been removed, holes filled and a set of vintage 59 gold single line single ring Klusons are back on it (with original tips). This guitar has just been re-fretted. Original brown Stone hard case with replaced handle. 59 ES-345's have run up in price lately. Grab this one for less than half the price of a 59 comparable ES-335.
