Description

"First rack" 59 ES-345. These are built somewhat differently from all the other 345's in that the rout for the Varitone choke was much smaller and the bridge pickup has a "short leg" to accommodate the choke. They also had huge necks and are referred to as "burst killers" even by the guys who own bursts. This one is converted to 335 spec using a 59 harness out of a 335 with bumblebee caps. Varitone switch is in the guitar and the choke is in the case. The bridge tone pot is slightly bent but works fine. It is re-fretted. PAFs have perfect stickers and are both over 8K. Case is a brown Lifton with an unusual interior-more orangey red than the usual pink. could be original or not-impossible to know for sure. Era is correct. Guitar shows very little player wear but has some finish flaking on the rim at the butt end-probably from the case. More photos coming.
