Description

Here's a very attractive red 60 ES-345. It has a beautiful unfaded red finish that is original and shows no checking at all. It is in 8.5/10 condition-the only wear/damage of note is some coil cord rash in a few spots on the back only. It looks like someone tried to touch them up with clear lacquer without much success. The top is near perfect with only some light pick scratches and a small ding or two. There is a nearly invisible filled hole from an extra strap button on the bass side horn. All parts are original or correct except for the frets, the tuner tips and the wiring harness. This guitar has been converted to 335 using a new Creamtone harness with vintage bumblebee caps. I don't have the original Varitone harness but the ring and chicken head knob are original. One PAF is sealed, the other has been opened to flip the magnet so the pickups are in phase. Neck profile is medium-not a 61 "blade" profile. First fret depth is .825" and the 12th is .90" Nut width is 1 11/16". PAFs read 8.18K neck and 8.12K bridge. All plastic parts are original. Original tuners, correct bridge, tailpiece and studs. The no wire bridge post holes were slightly enlarged-not certain why-but they don't affect playability. The brown Gibson badged case is in fair condition and needs a handle. All the latches work. One foot is missing on the bottom.
