Description

This Gibson ES-345 has lived the life of adventure and has some stories to tell. It shows extremely heavy wear and the original finish is in very rough shape, but there are no structural breaks or repairs and the guitar is in very good playing condition. We are not sure exactly what happened to the finish but it does not appear to be water damage - seems like a combination of decades of smoky bars and some sort of chemical reaction on the back where something was stuck and removed, but we are not sure. When we got it the original pickup were gone so we loaded it with a pair of 60's Gibson patent sticker pickups we had in spare parts. The pots appear to be original in original cans, although we have not removed them to verify. The knobs and pickguard appear to be original. The bridge is a patent# 60's or 70's Gibson and the tailpiece is a lightweight Gibson bar. There are holes indicating it has a bigsby at some point. The tuners are 60's klusons but the guitar has Grovers at some point. The guitar has a large profile neck with an 1 and 11/16th inch nut and it a total winner of a player. It has been pro-setup in our shop and it comes with the original case in the pictures.
