2014 Gibson ES-345 (1964 reissue) Cherry

Summary: The Gibson Memphis 1964 ES-345 has classy ES-345 looks rendered with vintage-correct appointments, PAF-style MHS pickups, Vari-Tone switching, and superb feel thanks to a rounded ’60s ‘C’ profile neck with rolled binding.

Body: Semi hollow body with slim taper cutaways. 3-ply maple, poplar, maple top back and sides. Features lightweight center-block and Adirondack spruce braces for optimal acoustic tonality. Top binding is 3-ply (Tan-Black-Tan). The binding on the back is 1-ply tan.

Neck: Mahogany 60’s style “C” neck profile. Fully bound rosewood fingerboard with split trapezoidal inlays and a bone nut. Frets are in great shape with tons of height. Nut width-1 11/16”, Scale Length-24 ¾”.

Pickups/Hardware: Gold hardware, original stock PAF style MHS pickups and a fully functional VariTone switching offers an outstanding array of usable and inspiring tonal options. Mono output jack. Gold backed Kluson Deluxe tuning machines with vintage style green keystones. Has gold, fully intonatable tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles.

Cosmetics: Excellent condition overall with a couple of minor dings and some small binding checking where the frets meet the binding.

Playability: Absolute dream to play plugged in, as well as being quite loud acoustically for a semi-hollow body instrument. Straight neck and low action with no buzzing or high frets make for a very playable vintage style instrument.
