Description

You can call it a 60 (factory order number) or you can call it a 61 (Jan 61 ship date). It's got that 60 red that fades to watermelon which everybody likes but it's got a short guard, so there's a little of each. PAFs (8.39K and 7.67K), no wire ABR-1, vintage correct gold Bigsby (with repair). neck profile is slim but not as slim as many of this era. Nut is full width 1 11/16". This stereo guitar has been converted to mono and the Varitone circuit has been removed, although the 6 way VT switch is in the guitar and the choke is in the case. This guitar was drilled for a stop tail and has pearl dots over the bushings. I don't know if it was done at the factory or not-probably not-it's a pretty rare thing but they are exactly in the correct position which is also a pretty rare thing. Guitar was re-fretted very recently. Case is newer.
