When you consider that a Bigsby 1959 ES-335 will cost you somewhere between $28000 and $35000, a mono ES-355 should cost around the same. It is the same guitar with a few upgrades (yes, upgrades). It is the same construction, the same circuit with (usually) nicer wood, fancier inlays (real mother of pearl rather than plastic), an ebony fingerboard, gold plated parts and a fancier headstock. But it costs quite a bit less. I don't make the rules, I just follow them. This one has been played but was well cared for. It is all original except for the frets. It shows fairly minor wear and plays beautifully. It has big, fat PAF tone (must be the PAFs) and will roar when you let it or sing sweetly if you ask nicely. These don't come up for sale that often-they only made 177 of them in 59. Almost all were Bigsby equipped (there are only 3 known mono 59 stop tails). Original brown case.
