2001 Gibson ES-446 Honey Burst

Rare Gibson ES 446 finished in Honey Burst on Spruce and Mahogany. Nothing sounds like a Spruce top. Especially those routed with the Braces attached and placed upon a solid piece of Mahogany routed out to be hollow. All original with no modifications or repairs. No structural damage or any other issues. Very little play time with no signs of any fret wear to speak of. The neck is straight with low action action and plays FREE OF DEAD SPOTS AND BUZZING. The Hardware has developed a aged patina. There are a few small pen point size dings by the switch, but nothing that shouldn't be expected for its age.

The ES-446s ( the "s" is for slim body and every446 was an "s") is a true hollowbody guitar that was constructed in the Gibson Custom Shop. During the four year period when these guitars were being made they were advertised as a cross between a Les Paul and a 335. The 446 may share some of the tonality of those guitars but the 446 is constructed like a hollow arch top guitar but smaller and slimmer. Notably, the arched spruce top has the braces carved right into it as opposed to glued. Also, the one piece mahogany back has a very comfortable belly contour carved into it that no one ever seems to mention.

The "57 Humbuckers deliver tones suitable for any style of music you wish to perform. Possibly due to bracing and the small body size Ultra Comfortable) feedback isn't a problem. I've been playing it through a 100 watt Laney VH100R with and without gain. The instruments does not have a Pick Guard or COA, but has been authenticated by Gibson. The Origin al Gibson Case is missing the combination lock, but I have one I will include with the sale for you to install.
