1959 Gibson ES-5 Switchmaster Blonde/Natural, Very Good, Hard, $14,000.00

The year 1959 was a special one at Gibson. They didn't know it then but 59 is considered the pinnacle of the Golden Era of Gibson guitars. The ES-5 Switchmaster sat near the top of the line. They only shipped 33 of them in blonde in 1959, so if you've been looking for one that hasn't been scavenged or modded, this is it. The guitar is original with the exception of the bridge which is from the mid 60's (wire type with nylon saddles). Other than that, it all there just as it was in 1959 right down to the frets (which are in great shape). The case fell apart in the 80's and a new one was purchased. This is a one owner guitar that's been played its whole life but well cared for.
