1956 Gibson ES-5 Switchmaster in Sunburst!
What a great guitar. Truly a unique model and here's one of the best examples of an ES-5 Switchmaster you'll ever find. This came to us from the son of the original owner. Check out the scanned photo/letter from the son which is included. It is very clean and totally original with no exceptions. Not even a strap button added. The guitar has no refins or changed parts but is missing the pickguard. It likely curled up like they often do. There is a light finish crack on the back of the neck on the walnut center strip lamination as shown.
No headstock breaks or repairs. Original sunburst finish has very little wear and beautiful light checking all over. The guitar has been setup and is playing beautifully. It also sounds wonderful and strong. This Switchmaster is a joy to play actually! Comes with original and very clean brown Lifton hardshell case.
