Gibson's Explorer still looks like it came from another planet, even 60 years after it debuted. This 1981 model is mean as all hell and must have some stories to tell. Lot's to like with this one. Original electronics (Gibson "tar-back" humbuckers), an expert re-fret, good weight at 9.0 lbs, and a super comfy medium sized neck 

It's a very vibey axe with plenty of paint wear throughout. The pickguard looks like it was a painted a few times, most recently white so it looks good from a distance. There is a repaired crack by the low E tuning machine that a good number of these seem to have. It was open a little and not fully through the headstock. It's small and we've included a photo. The guitar has been fully gone over by our luthier and has no issues.
