Offered for sale:
Used 2018 Gibson Explorer Left-Handed version serial number 180037849.
This guitar is in excellent (mint?) condition showing virtually no playing time. The protective plastic is still on the pickguard.
Gibson states:
“The new Gibson Explorer embodies the trail-blazing characteristics of the Explorers originally introduced in 1958, which made these rare and desirable guitars so far ahead of their time. Featuring a solid mahogany body and set-in mahogany neck with fast, comfortable Slim Taper profiles and torrefied Granadillo fingerboard. BurstBucker humbucking pickups and the classic Gibson hardware combine for superb tone and sustain.”
Cryogenically treated frets
The frets on your Gibson Explorer have been cryogenically treated, meaning that they were exposed to liquid nitrogen at around -300ºF. What's the point of that? Well, it makes them stronger. In fact, cryogenically treated frets were found to last up to four times longer than standard frets during Gibson's exhaustive testing process (roughly 277,000 string bends). Best of all, this treatment makes the frets stronger without making them harder, so they feel the same as standard frets. Thanks to this cryogenic treatment, your Gibson Explorer will likely never need a fret job!
Burstbucker pickups deliver timeless PAF humbucker tone
When it comes to capturing that classic Gibson tone, nothing beats the sound of Burstbucker pickups. You'll love the tight low end, complex midrange, and sweet highs you'll get out of these pickups — it's everything you expect when you pick up a Gibson! That's because Burstbucker pickups were designed to re-create the sound of the original PAF humbuckers to perfection. So, if you want the time-tested tone of a classic Gibson, the Explorer is the guitar for you.
A genuine Explorer through and through
Gibson built the Explorer with a solid mahogany body and a very comfortable set mahogany neck (topped with torrefied granadillo), so you know you're in for rich tones, great sustain, and outstanding midrange character. The Explorer has been embraced by hard rockers the world over (and quite a few here at Sweetwater) for decades; its set-neck construction and fast-playing neck combine to give you an unbeatable sonic weapon onstage or in the studio. From the tonewoods to the rock-solid set-neck to the top-shelf hardware, this axe was made to rock.
Original hard-shell case included.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
