After being pegged as "traditionalists" when it came to electric guitars, Gibson bounced back in a big way. They really went outside the box with a series of new models that borrowed from all different schools of design. The Firebird takes its cues from many sources and once you see it, you can't shake it from your mind.

Not only does the Firebird's perimeter show how willing they were to experiment, but it's neck-through-body construction was another bold move. They didn't stop there. The Firebird got its own unique pickup and its own headstock. This was a guitar the world had never seen before.

As a '63 this is one of the earliest Firebird's you will find.
