Description

This 1965 Gibson Firebird III is a lovely “non-reverse” example, maintaining its bright Inverness Green finish! This guitar is just as green under the guard as it is all over its body, making it a great example of custom color you don’t see too often. As a transitional era instrument, this Firebird features a mixture of chrome and nickel hardware, easily differentiated by an intense shine to some of the hardware (chrome) or a matte appearance (nickel). The playwear present throughout this guitar indicates a well-loved piece, with some areas of finish worn down to the wood and fine finish checking. The neck profile on this instrument is classic, feeling slimmer near the nut but tapering to a wider, fuller C shape as you move towards the 12th fret. Other highlights of this beautiful bird include a comfortable weight, evenly balanced pickups, and its original case!

Overall Condition: 7.5
