Description

This entirely original and incredibly rare 1964 Gibson Firebird V in Pelham Blue/Inverness Green is mind-blowing, as it barely has a scratch on it! In addition to being super clean finish-wise, the guitar itself is a fantastic instrument, with an exceptionally comfortable neck, virtually unplayed frets, and a huge tone from the two mini-humbuckers. In our opinion and experience, the initial shade of Inverness Green was created by spraying a tinted clear coat over Pelham Blue, and you can see bits of blue in the common wear spots on this guitar. Although we can’t be 100% sure, this green color undeniably matches the Inverness Green paint chip swatch compared to an original Gibson Custom Color Chart. Regardless, the color is insanely cool, and it’s safe to say this was kept in its case most of its life. This wildly rare time capsule comes complete with its original case, case key, and even its original manual from Gibson!
