Description

They only made around 175 '64 Firebird VII's and probably half of them have broken headstocks. Another quarter have probably been re-fretted with bigger wire. So how many survive with the original "fretless wonder" frets and a fully intact headstock? Not many, I'm sure. This is the second one I've had this year after not seeing an unbroken one for a decade. Chunky neck and wonderful playability. The idea that they are all headstock heavy is a myth. this one is well balanced. Condition is very good. There is some wear to the frets, some dings and scrapes to the body and lots of wear to the gold parts. If you're a player, I would go for a re-fret. Fretless wonder frets are not paragons of playability for a lot of players. Correct 64 case.
