Description

These are rare and hard to find guitars, and for good reason! This one is lightweight, perfectly balanced, is set up perfectly and plays like butter. The first accurate reissue Flying V to come out of Gibson, these guitars are custom shop quality with the hard to find Korina body and neck. This has been in my personal collection for 9 years, it is a keeper and a great playing guitar.

Original pots are dated 1982. Shaw ink stamped pickups read 153 582 & 1541282. Weight is a lightweight 6 lbs 7 oz, as most of these are. The back has some light scratches as well as some “worming” marks below the body string ferrule area. Nicely figured rosewood fretboard, frets have been professionally leveled, recrowned, show no divots, and have lots of life left in them. The black guard offsetting the gold hardware and natural korina is a classic look. The guitar has been well taken care of, but it shows play wear and use in the form of random dings and the worming on the back, which is not offensive.

Includes the original pink lined, gold logo, “Gibson” case, which is in great shape. The brown 1950’s Les Paul Standard style case covering has some stickers which could be removed. Pocket at the tail end of the case is intact.
