1971 Gibson Flying V Medallion Cherry

These almost never show up for sale: this is an original 1971 "medallion" series Flying V! One of only 353 total guitars made, this incredible example was refinished and aged by renowned finish expert Tom Murphy. Built to commemorate the 1972 Olympic games, these exceptionally rare guitars have become incredibly hard to find. There are no breaks to this example, and the original mahogany body is extremely light weight and well balanced. The original pair of "patent number" humbucking pickups sound phenomenal, and this guitar includes the original hardshell case!
