Be the cool kid on your block and play this awesome Gibson Futura. The Futura model served as the prototype for the Gibson Explorer. Only a handful were made in 1957 before Gibson introduced the Explorer in 1958. They shared the same body shape but the Futura had a Vee headstock.
What we have here is a Limited Edition 2002 Gibson Custom Shop version of this rare prototype guitar. It has a vibrant copper metallic finish with polished metal pickguard and headstock overlay. Looks great. Plays great. Sounds great.
This Futura is in excellent condition with a lustrous copper finish, some very minor finish checking on the back of the headstock, and a couple of small chips near the control cavity on the back of the guitar. Comes with its original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity.
