Used c1999 Reissue Gibson Goldtone GA-30RSV 2x12 combo amp serial number 503249299.

This combo amp is in excellent condition, fully functional and cosmetically clean.

This is one of the early Goldtones that was built in the U.K. by Trace Elliot and imported by Gibson.

It is actually a stereo amp, 15 watts per side, two output transformers, two Celestion Vintage 30's, and has this beautiful reverb that has a slight delay because of the two separate outputs.

Developed by Trace Elliot as the Velocette series, and renamed after Gibson bought up the company in 1998, the Goldtone series pinnacle amp was the maxed-out GA-30RVS, attired in soft brown leatherette with gold hardware. These amps were originally around in the 50's and have a similar crunch and tone to Vox AC type amps, but a little darker.

Although it was the series’ flagship, the GA-30RVS offered just a trio of knobs - volume, tone and reverb, to perform most of the work. Deceptively simple, with each control covering a wide-range of territory.

The volume knob can be pulled out for a hearty gain boost

The tone control engages two potentiometers, allowing the bass setting to have a midrange boost that becomes scooped as the knob is turned toward treble.

The resulting range is enormous, and useful at every point.

Other features in the GA-30RVS include a bright switch, a hi input, a lo/link input that allows you to link in parallel to another amp, and a stereo effects loop that operates in series or parallel and whose spread can be enhanced with the stereo outputs.

The Accutronics reverb is sweet and strong. Factor in its stereo capabilities, and the RA-30RVS is a tone addicts dream!

All this is voiced by the dual Celestion Vintage 30 Speakers.
Original footswitch included.

These are iconic and rare amps. Stunning looking, fantastic sounding.

Crisp, chimey and articulate, yet can dig in with some crunch when needed!

It’s been stated that Joe Perry used these for years 1998 – 2006, and Eric Johnsons favorite clean sound.

“We test every used amp and pedal when we buy it and bring it up to our standards before we offer it for sale. Then we burn it in for an hour or so before we ship so that there are no surprises.”

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
