1965 Gibson Gibson ES-125TDC (AS-IS)

Up for your consideration is this 1965 Gibson ES-125TDC that we are offering in AS-IS condition. This instrument appears to have gone through a fire at some point in its life and the sunburst finish is very dark in color. There is also some finish that has bubbled up on the back of the guitar. The trapeze tailpiece, bridge and tuners are replacements. There is a gap where the neck meets the body and a split in the back of the neck from the truss rod being over tightened. The action is pretty high but the neck feels super solid and it holds tune. This guitar would be perfect for someone looking to use this as a slide guitar. The pickups and electronics are original and are in good working order. The pickguard has gassed off and is deteriorating. This ES-125TDC is not an early example and features the 1 9/16” nut width and is housed in an older but non original hardshell case.
