In 2011, Gibson was raided by federal agents on allegations of illegal wood usage, and a number of necks and bodies were confiscated. This limited edition SG was produced using materials recovered by Gibson after its settlement with the US Justice Department. This guitar shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz as well as the original serial numbers from 2011.
