Offered here is another superb LP from the folks at Historic Makeovers. This beauty started off as a 2014 Gibson '59 Reissue which was then transformed by way of a complete Historic Makeovers 'Deluxe' rebuild which was completed in September of 2015. This collector-owned piece appears virtually unplayed since it's completion.
Already an incredible Les Paul with all the improvements Gibson made starting in 2013, this guitar then received a $4K 'Deluxe Makeover' which includes a complete re-carve of the Maple top, replacement of the fretboard with Brazilian Rosewood, 50's style cellulose inlays, a vintage style truss rod without sheathing and a complete refret. The neck is also reshaped to a 50's correct carve with proper rolled shoulders and this one has depth measurements of .88" at the first fret and .99" at the 12th fret. The guitar was then completely refinished for a "Skinnerburst" look, with period-correct aniline dyes, nitrocellulose lacquer and given Royalite binding. Finally, it received a very light distressing by the pros at Historic Makeovers. The original Gibson Custombucker pickups were reinstalled.
The resulting guitar is closer to a real '59 LP than a True Historic from the Gibson Custom Shop costing far more, plus you get a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard! This guitar is absolutely amazing in terms of how realistic it looks, plays, feels and sounds, rivaling or exceeding the best LP replicas made and it is a real Gibson, albeit one that has been greatly improved from when it left the Gibson factory. This beauty weighs just 8.4 pounds (8 pounds, 6 ounces) with great balance. The original Custombucker pickups sound superb as the provided SoundCloud sample will attest to.
This guitar is as it came from Historic Makeovers and, the light aging aside, is in mint condition and the frets show zero wear. It comes in it's original brown Lifton-style reissue LP case, with both the original Gibson Custom and Historic Makeovers certificates and all the original hang tags and accessories. This is a fabulous instrument that will please even the most demanding LP fan. Make it yours!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
