1964 Gibson Hummingbird. This is a fantastic guitar in stunning condition! The Hummingbird was Gibson's first take on the square-shouldered dreadnought and what a beautiful job they did. Lovely Cherryburst finish, bound neck with split trapezoid inlays and hummingbird pickguard. Very clean with just a few tiny dings and some moderate to light checking. There is one small crack between the fretboard and pickguard, running from the soundhole up to about the 16th fret that will need some attention. We can address this here in our shop before it ships out, if preferred by the buyer. Set up great with low action and rings out strong and clear across the fingerboard. 1-11/16" nut width. This guitar has a rich, warm sound produced by the Spruce top and Mahogany Back and sides. These guitars have a tone that is big and powerful, but always sits perfectly and the mix and complements a singer's voice beautifully. A true classic! Includes original hardshell case.
