Offered for sale:
Used 2012 Gibson Hummingbird Pro dreadnought acoustic electric guitar serial number 12982074.
This guitar is in very good condition showing limited playing time. There is a 3” and a 1 ¼" linear dent in the finish below the bridge. It is only visible in just the right light and impossible to accurately photograph.
Constructed with a solid-mahogany back and sides, solid-Sitka spruce top, and one-piece mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, the Hummingbird Pro utilizes premier tonewoods that mirror those of its predecessor from 1960. A scalloped advanced X-brace, hide-glued dovetail neck joint, and bone nut keep it rich and resonant, while an L.R. Baggs acoustic pickup with endpin jack allow you to plug in.
A vintage-sunburst finish in nitrocellulose lacquer, marquetry back stripe, multi-ply top binding and rosette, split-parallelogram inlays, and double-point tortoiseshell pickguard keep it all looking as nice as the vintage Hummingbird that inspired it.
The Hummingbird Pro carries the classic hardware accompaniment seen of several legendary Gibson flat-tops. A “belly-up” Indian rosewood bridge and bone saddle keep it all tonally true, while Grover Rotomatic tuners combine a timeless look with outstanding tuning efficiency.
The guitar’s neck and headstock are made in the classic tradition of the original 1960 Hummingbird, with the 25 1/2” scale length carved from a single piece of quarter-sawn mahogany, and topped with a rosewood fingerboard, the design incorporates Gibson’s 17-degree back-angled headstock, which contributes greatly to the instrument’s resonance and sustain.
The Hummingbird Pro, crafted by the luthiers in Gibson’s acoustic facility in Bozeman, MT, carries on the tradition.
Designed both as a tribute to this 50-year-old classic, and as a no-nonsense, high-quality acoustic for the player who always wanted that Hummingbird tone with a simpler non-hummingbird pick guard and a finish that’s toned down from the original cherry sunburst
Original hard-shell case included.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
