Gibson / 1964 J-160E

J-160E was first manufactured in 1954.
This model was made before the development of piezo PU, and can be said to be the originator of the acoustic guitar along with the CF-100E.

This time we introduce 1964 J-160E manufactured in 1995.
As the model name says, it is a reissue model of 1964, but it is a little irregular.
First of all, except for the first year of 1954, the body top is all veneer.
The bracing is also made of scalloped X-bracing, which gives a sense of the effort that was put into this model as a raw acoustic guitar.
The most surprising thing is the thickness of the neck, which is very thick like that of the 1950's. The neck is very comfortable to hold.

In any case, the raw sound is quite different due to the all veneer specification.
Of course, the straight saddle and extra-thick neck also contribute to this, but it is loud enough to be played without an amp.

- The neck and wood have been thoroughly inspected by a craftsman specializing in acoustic guitars, and no repairs are needed.
- The neck is straight and free of any chattering or sound clogging issues.
- String height on the 12th fret: 2.5mm on the 6th string side, 1.8mm on the 1st string side.
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 3.5mm-1.5mm
