Dark Sunburst finish, very attractive Spruce Top & nicely figured Maple back & sides, its 3-piece neck is also figured a bit & has a nice 1 11/16” nut width, this is a very unusual transitional J-200 having its neck completed in 1960 having no serial stamped on its headstock when mounted to its body completed in 1962, it has its original orange label stamped w/its serial #, its ornate inlaid fingerboard…always gorgeous w/its L-5 point, its “ribbed” back Kluson Tuners are clean & hold tune well, its 1 of the earliest examples made w/its factory ABR-1 saddle installed in its original Mustache bridge covered in White Pearl inlays, its engraved Tortoise’gard is stunning & all of its layers of bindings are in perfect shape, its sounds fabulous as most from the later 60’s do not !, a very rare example, she is 100% original & exceptional clean overall, she comes with an original period hard case.
