A great sounding Gibson J-200 with its original brown hard shell case, from 1990. The guitar is finished in black lacquer - an unusual color finish for a J-200 from this period. Everything is original on this guitar, and the instrument is in excellent++ condition. It is crack free, and has only surface scratches and no large dings or dents anywhere. There is lacquer crazing on the headstock but none on the body. Overall condition is 9 out of 10 in my opinion. Really clean for a 27-year old guitar.
There is an aftermarket active pickup installed under the saddle. It is in working condition, and I believe it is a Fishman pickup. The battery is mounted on the neck block, and an endpin jack has been installed.
The guitar has a straight neck and comfortable action. The 6th string height at the 12th fret is 4/32", and the 1st string is 3/32". The inside of the guitar is spotless. The single X top bracing is scalloped. The sound of the guitar has opened up with age, and it is loud and balanced.
