J-200 with rosewood as well as pre-war

Gibson / 1995 J-200 Deluxe

A J-200 from the 1990's, during the creation of the Gibson Montana Factory.
Like the original Pre-War SJ-200, it has rosewood side backs and ebony fingerboard/bridge.

We asked Len Ferguson, former master builder of Gibson, about this model, and he told us that it was made in the Custom Shop line.
It seems that Val Bolitho, John Walker, and Kevin Kopp were in charge of the production under Len Ferguson's direction, and it is a gem with a massive sound and a strong visual presence.

Avalon on the fingerboard and body rim gives it an even more luxurious appearance not normally found on the J-200.
The neck also has a beautifully bright flame.

The tone is also superb.
The tone is also very nice.
Each note is clear and rich,
We are impressed by the pursuit of not only the design but also the sound.

There are some damages such as weather checking and paint peeling around the bridge, but there are no cracks in the wood, and the neck is in good condition and can be played comfortably.

Comes with the original brown hard case with the script Gibson logo and Montana printed on it.
