Description

Here's a 1939 Gibson J-35 in Natural finish. Incredible playing & sounding dreadnaught, originally produced from 1936-1943. Slope shoulder, Adirondack Spruce Top, Mahogany Back & Sides, Mahogany Neck, and Brazilian Rosewood Fingerboard & Bridge. There's one small repaired crack that goes from the top of the bridge near the low E, up to the pickguard. Then two more repaired cracks on the back, and one repaired on the side of the body (treble side). The rest is solid. The guitar has had a professional neck reset, and is good to go for the long haul! The pickguard is not original, along with the headstock logo decal. The Gibson decal on right now, sincerely looks like it could've been done at the factory years ago. The neck has a mild V profile, and really feels fantastic in your hands. Playability is exceptional! Easy playing action, and the original frets have life. Tonally the guitar sounds BIG & full. Amazing example of how you'd want a vintage Gibson acoustic to sound. Deep low end, while still being balanced & clear. This one has some serious magic to it! HSC included..
