Description

This is one of my favorite Flat Top guitars ever made, it is from the coolest post-Banner headstock period, its Dark Brown Sunburst finish looks stunning over its spruce top having a good amount of play wear, its cool 1 piece mahogany back & sides are nicely figured, its 1 piece mahogany neck is quite fat & makes this baby sing, these early “examples w/that cool Gibson gold “Script” logos rarely come up for sale, also rare are the original Kluson “war time” tuners are still in place & work quite well, its tortoise shell pickgard compliments the color combo perfectly, this is a very interesting period J-45 still retaining its original rectangle rosewood bridge w/2 pearl dots & is still perfectly intact, it appears to have been laying next to a radiator as the headstock only appears to have its original finish bubbled from this heat, the rest of it is perfectly & very beautiful, its tone is to die for & everything you’d expect from this era, far rarer than a “Banner” model & just as cool is all respects, its excellent overall & 100% original, it comes with a nice hard case.
