Up for grabs is this 1945, Banner Headstock J-45. Oh if this one could talk! Clearly the guitar has had some work done....but it truly plays & sounds fantastic! The body, neck, and pickguard are authentic and original. Spruce top, mahogany back & sides, mahogany neck, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, and classic wartime banner headstock, which were made from 1942-1946. At some point the guitar had a trapeze tailpiece, and another bridge on. The top was stripped, except for the part where the trapeze was, which is where it's darker. There are several crack repairs on the body (front, back, sides), that are professionally sealed and good to go. The tuners are old, but not original.

The guitar is a cannon, and rings like a piano!! Beautiful clarity no matter where you play. Nothing frets out, and there's no dead notes. The action is at an easy playing height as well. The neck has that great mid 40s chunky profile, and couldn't be more solid! It appears to have an old re-fret. The guitar is an absolute pleasure to play!! Deluxe hard shell case included!

Weight- 4lbs 3oz
Nut Width- 1.730"
