1959 Gibson J-45 Sunburst, Very Good, Original Soft, $5,000.00

Ask anybody who is a guitar lover what the best of the best years is for Gibsons and you will get the same answer every time. 1959. 59 burst? Worth more than a 58 or 60. Same with dot neck 335's, same with 345's and 355's. Well, they were making acoustics in 59 as well and they are great. The 30's and 40's acoustics get all the glory and lots of folks turn up their noses at the adjustable saddle that the 59 J45's have but tone is the final test. This one has it and then some. It's a cannon. Don't like the adjustable bridge? have your luthier take it off and put on a fixed one. No one will care because this guitar is huge. All original. Somebody's pet wolverine got loose and put a couple of big scratches in the top but it's just cosmetics. Makes you look like a road warrior. No cracks or repairs and 100% original. This came in its original cardboard soft case. I have a vintage correct brown hard case available for it.
