Gibson / 1960 J-45 Sunburst

The Gibson flat-top "J-45" has created many legends.

This 1960 J-45 is now in stock.

The body top is a tri-burst color with a perfect balance of black, red, and yellow due to fading over time.
The color changes depending on the fading of the color, which is the charm of sunburst.

The first thing you will notice is the soundhole area and the pickguard.
The bridge is not damaged, which suggests that the bridge was originally damaged but was replaced to improve playability. The replaced bridge material seems to be Hakaranda. The bridge has been carefully glued in place, so you can use it without worry.

The neck has the thin regular grip characteristic of the '60s.
The nut has been replaced, and the frets have been changed to higher ones, so the guitar is in comfortable playing condition.
The neck has been in good condition and has remained straight since its arrival.
The neck has been adjusted by a craftsman who specializes in setting up vintage flat tops.
The string height has been set at 2.0mm~2.5mm on the 12th fret.

There are cracks on the top and bottom of the soundhole, but they have been carefully glued and reinforced with cleats.

The guitar has been carefully cared for as a guitar to be used, and it has a convincing sound that has been played and aged.
The sound is convincing, having been played and aged.
On the other hand, with a light touch, it has a freshness and long sustain that is not typical of mahogany/adjustable guitars, and produces a tone that can be considered modern.

It is a fascinating instrument that gives you a sense of mission as a player to connect the history of the instrument.
