1966 Gibson J-45 Dark Burst Project!
Here is a project guitar for someone with the skills to do the work. Please read the whole description so you understand the condition. There are several issues that need to be addressed for the guitar to be playable. It currently is not playable. There are no cracks on the body that we could find. No headstock breaks. The finish looks original and attractive. That's where the good news ends.
First off, it's got a couple spots on the side of the neck wood that were scraped/hit. A previous owner "repaired" those frets by filing off the edge of the frets making it almost impossible to play those frets. The guitar also has a changed nut with the channel shaved in an awkward way (why!). The bridge looks changed and the saddle is leaning and needs attention. The action is actually too low as the top is sinking a good bit. The pickguard is missing and a tape pickguard was added. Truss Rod cover is missing. The tuners are newer. There are likely other repairs needed as well.
The guitar has a nice dark sunburst finish, no headstock breaks. There is potential here with some good repairs. The guitar needs a lot so please be aware of this. It comes with a padded gig bag.
