Description
Gibson introduced the J-45 in the summer of 1942 as the newest version in its Jumbo line preceded by the Jumbo-35. In Gibson nomenclature, “Jumbo” refers to a 16″ wide lower bout while the 17″ lower bout is known as the Super Jumbo. The J-45 featured a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides a 24 3/4″ scale length.

This Gibson J-45 manufactured in 1968 has survived in very nice original condition with all original parts. It’s crack free and plays great up and down the neck. It features the rare painted logo on the pickguard which we only see on some Gibson guitars made in ’68. It’s in excellent playing condition and has that typical woody mid range and low end Gibson thump. We reglued the bridge and set it up for optimum tone and playability. It’s now ready for the stage, studio, or collection.
