1941 Gibson J-55 Sunburst

Here's a 1941 Gibson J-55 in Sunburst finish. Rare, top of the line pre-war dreadnaught, only made by Gibson from 1938-1943. Fewer than 400 ever produced. Incredibly well preserved guitar for its age! Besides a tiny professionally repaired crack on the lower end of the back, there are no breaks, repairs, or other cracks! 16" body, spruce top, mahogany back and sides, bound Brazilian Rosewood fretboard, script Gibson pearl headstock logo, 3-point batwing rosewood bridge, with the original Fire-Striped pickguard perfectly in tact. The finish is original with no overspray. The tuners are era correct with changed bushings. Playability is exceptional! Never had a neck set and does not need one. The guitar benefits from a phenomenal re-fret, which really brings playability over the top. Action is consistently low down the fingerboard. Tonally the guitar is rich, powerful, with incredible sustain. It will leave you speechless! The finest example of an original J-55 that we've comes across. HSC included..
