Description

The king of the flattops! Incredible 1954-1955 Gibson J-200N in its original natural finish. J-200s will always be my favorite model of Gibson acoustics. One of the most recognizable and iconic acoustics ever made. Everybody from Elvis to George Harrison has been seen with one of these throughout the years. Spruce top, flamed maple back/sides and neck with headstock stinger! Huge, rich, and pleasantly bright in tone — This thing is an absolute cannon! FON dates the guitar to 1954, but the serial dates it to 1955 making this a very unique transitional guitar! Action is low and comfortable but not much more room to come down and plenty of life left in the original frets! Overall in very good played condition — Finish checking, plenty of play wear, pickguard shrinkage and various dings/dents. Older professional top crack repair, new compensated bone saddle and and a filled and over sprayed jack hole in the side. These guitars are becoming increasingly difficult to find, and this one is a truly fine example. Comes complete with its original road worn Lifton case.
