For your consideration a 2011 Gibson Joan Jett Melody Maker in a Satin Black finish. Praised as the godmother of punk rock Joan Jett needs little introduction as her 3 platinum records have spoken quite loudly for her. If you’re familiar with her music then you know she rocks and this guitar was made in the same vein as her music. Besides the rad appointments added to give this Melody Maker a more Joan Jett aesthetic, this guitar is a no frills Rock Machine!

Specs! This guitar is in very good condition. Its only modification is its upgraded pick up! Chrome tuners. Joan Jett signature on trust rod cover. Nut width measure 1-11/16″. Mahogany neck with a depth of .80″ at the first fret and .92″ at the twelfth fret. Its has a 24.75″ scale length. Ebony fingerboard with a 12″ radius. “Blackhearts” inlays. The original 22 jumbo frets are in excellent condition. Mahogany body finished in a satin Black. The pick up was upgrade to a Seymour Duncan SH-1b ’59. Original wiring with factory killswitch. Nashville T-O-M bridge and stop tail piece. Comes with its original hard shell case. Weighs 6 pounds and 9 ounces.

Plays great! Very comfortable neck with excellent condition frets. Years of rocking to be had on this Melody Maker! The Seymour Duncan Sh-1b is exactly what this guitar need to take it to the next level. Big full sound, plenty of grit and attack on the treble side but still tons of bass to make those power chords punch and hit. The Killswitch is a bonus, great way to get some custom tremolo patterns going or to make a soaring lead really sing. Nice weight for long days of jamming. An awesome guitar looking to get back to rockin!
