This is a really cool & ultra rare Johnny Smith w/a gorgeous Dark Sunburst finish over a very grainy Spruce Top, slightly figured maple back & sides & all over its 5 piece flamey maple neck w/its 1 11/16″ nut width, its finish now has a beautiful lightly aged patina w/an original “Black Stinger” on the back of its headstock, she has a made in USA stamp, but w/no volute, its got a multi-bound Ebony fingerboard w/white pearl inlays, you get a killer variety of tones thru its 2 floating mini-Humbucking pickups, she is still sporting her original Kluson Deluxe tuners, its original bound Tortoise pickgard is clean has 5 control knobs, all of its Gold hardware is slightly worn, its inlaid bridge & its huge trapeze tailpiece are still intact, its got a clean factory square label still n place, she’s got killer sustain & tone qualities, she’s exceptionally clean overall & she’s a 100% original example, she comes w/its Gibson black tolex/purple lined hard case w/its original case cover.
