Description

1932 Gibson L-00 in good condition. Early version with lightweight construction and unusual bound fingerboard. All original finish in deep bone black. Has had a recent neck reset and refret both nicely done. There are two repaired top cracks one from the bridge to the lower bout and one from the pickguard. The X brace has been reglued in one section and a crack of it repaired. The binding is an interesting feature, especially because they painted right over it! Likely these were fingerboards they had for L-2s and just slapped them on some of these early models. The neck is a nice medium round profile, very comfortable in the hand. This guitar is the epitome of dry woody tone. It has an exceptionally crisp attack with lots going on under the fundamental. Included is a nice Harptone hard case.
