Oh my, this is a good’n. Here we have a 1934 Gibson L-00 in dark, but vibrant, sunburst finish that sounds like heaven to our ears. There’s nothing like a great vintage Gibson acoustic to put a smile on our faces. This one is stamped “Made in U.S.A.” on the back of the headstock and bears the original label “Made in U.S.A. by Gibson, Inc. Kalamazoo, Mich.” inside the soundhole.
Original Nickel 3-on-a-plate tuners. Comfortable 1 3/4 inch nut. Mahogany neck with a 24 3/4 inch scale length and a typical thirties Vee profile. Neck depth of one inch at the first fret and 1.125 inches at the twelfth fret. Nice clean Rosewood fingerboard with a 12 inch radius and 19 frets in excellent condition. Vintage-correct replacement bridge with bone saddle. Firestripe pickguard. One glued back crack. A couple of scratches on the top have been professionally touched up at some point.
This little featherweight guitar has a big sound and killer tone. It comes with its original softshell case. If you’ve been wanting a cool looking, great sounding vintage Gibson acoustic, you really can’t go wrong with this L-00.
