1940 Gibson L-00 Sunburst

We’re officially in love with this much-modified but gorgeous sounding 1940 Gibson L-00. Not for the collector because of the many mods, but if you’re interested in the sound, look, and playability of a vintage L-00 and have a limited budget, don’t let this one get away. Buy it now, before some other lucky Joe (or Josephine) snags it.

This L-00 has been refinished and has a number of replaced parts including a new ebony bridge with bone saddle, new bone nut, and three-on-a-plate tuners with black buttons. It’s been refretted and is playing perfectly. There is a 1/4 inch hole underneath the pickguard and a the top has been reinforced below the X-bracing. The pickguard and truss rod covers are also replacements.

Nothwithstanding all these modifications and repairs, this L-00 looks the part and sounds just as it should. Comes with its original softshell case. At this price, it won’t last long.
