Don’t let this guitars olde’ world funky look fool you..this really sounds great and plays well with nice projection. The frets and real ebony fretboard are smooth as silk.

Priced right due to a non original tailpiece and lack of a pickguard. I am no expert on these early year Gibson’s, but here are my observations: 13 frets to the body, unbound back, carved top and back, slanted script pearl inlaid logo, 13 ½ wide inch body. One fine crack at the brace from the sound hole
purfling to the body binding. It is untouched, so is a good candidate for a quality fix if desired.

All in all, pretty amazing craftsman ship compared to today’s products on a bang for the buck scale.

Frets are in good shape and look original, on a real ebony fretboard. Original tuners with a nicely V’s neck shape. Neck is thick but comfortable and playable. Some slight upbow to the fretboard keeps it from being perfectly flat, but not much more than you would see in many modern instruments. Nice round carve to the top at the bridge with no sinking. Original pickguard missing, but shadows on the side show evidence of its prior existence as does screw hole in the fretboard binding at the last fret. Original bridge, but tailpiece is old nickel Gibson replacement.

A very comfortable playing instrument, and a great way to get the collection started without breaking the bank. Fon is 11175. Serial number places it to 1919. No case: will ship in some kind of inexpensive case for shipping and will be well packaged for transit. IDAHO RESIDENTS pay 6% sales tax.
