I cannot imagine finding another 1930s Gibson L-10 in nearly as wonderful and original condition as this one, let alone better, anywhere; it is simply the very finest example I’ve ever seen in all the 50+ years I’ve been in this business. To us from, once again, the fabulous collection of the world-renowned player, vintage guitar expert and collector G. E. Smith, this beautiful black lacquered version is not only great looking and in miraculous original condition, it sounds fabulous too, louder and clearer and bigger than any I’ve encountered. It’s never had nor needed a single repair; no cracks, no refret, no wacked-out silly tuner replacements, just all, all there and barely ever touched. I will say that the pickguard, which almost always disintegrated on these 1930s Gibsons, may be a replacement but if so, it’s the best best job I’ve ever seen, and I’ll leave it at that. Original hard shell case of course. It just does not get any better than this in a pre-war Gibson L-10. And it’s black. $6995 w/ohsc
