Description

1931 Gibson L-2 in good condition. Converted from archtop bridge and tailpiece to pin bridge. 13 fret neck joint on a body made for 12 fret neck gives a unique tone to these guitars. This one appears to be Brazilian rosewood back and sides with red spruce top. Conversion is perfectly done with Brazilian pin bridge and new frets and bridge plate. Several repaired back cracks, all cleated and tight. Top center seam has been repaired as well. Has an unusually large neck for an L-2 or any 1931 Gibson L size guitar. Not as big as banner guitars but an interesting D shape that is very comfortable. The tone is excellent with solid fundamentals and great clarity. Includes Hiscox case.
